Lei Dong | Bio

My research interests are complexity systems and computational social science. I develop and apply empirical and theoretical methods in urban areas, focusing on human mobility, scaling laws, and mobile big data.

I received my Ph.D. at Tsinghua University and completed postdoctoral training at Peking University and MIT. During my Ph.D. study, I also worked at Baidu Research for two years as a data scientist.

As an interdisciplinary researcher, my research has been published in general journals including Nature, Nature Communications, and PNAS, as well as field journals and conferences including Remote Sensing of Environment and AAAI, and has also been applied in institutions as UNDP and Development Research Center of the State Council of China.
